    BBC Television Centre

Avantgarde Tiling has significantly contributed to the transformation of the BBC Television Centre, demonstrating expertise in luxury tiling and flooring solutions. At Broadcasting House, now a series of luxury apartments, we overcame the challenge of its unique circular architecture with a specially formulated cement that dries rapidly and shrinks minimally. This allowed us to create seamless Terrazzo polished floors with minimal joints, finished in a cool white cement tone with marble chips, and elegantly accented with curved brass trims. The centrepiece of an extravagant living room in this project is a contemporary-style fireplace, made of black thin porcelain ceramic with a see-through glass, adding a modern touch to the space. Additionally, all lift lobbies were adorned with resin Carrara terrazzo tiles 600x600, complemented by skirting in the same material, enhancing the overall elegance. In the BBC Television Centre, our focus was on practical yet stylish installations. The kitchens in 10 apartments were fitted with durable anthracite thin porcelain tiles, while 6 apartments featured 3mm polished concrete floors, and another 20 apartments were equipped with 10mm concrete floors. The master bathrooms in two apartments were distinctively styled – one with Arabescato Marble for sophistication, and the other with Travertine Tiles, reflecting our versatility. Each element was finished with meticulous attention to detail, from custom-cut shower trays to mitred corners.
